Hunter Gause is a filmmaker based in New York City, originally from Colorado. His films riff on themes of authenticity, expectations, and passion. Hunter’s short films have screened at festivals like Palm Springs International ShortFest, NewFilmmakers LA (NFMLA), The Downtown Festival, Reelabilities LA, and Pendance Film Festival, among others. He learned filmmaking by crewing on sets for production companies such as Gummy Films, Simone Films, and CBS. Before that, he worked in the theatre, assisting directors at New York Theatre Workshop, The Wooster Group, and Big Dance Theater. Currently, Hunter is submitting his new short film, Pentimento, to festivals and is editing his documentary short film, Beyond Styling.
